Bella Hadid’s modeling star is rising almost as quickly as her sister, Gigi’s. In just a few seasons on the scene, she’s hit the runway for the likes of Chanel, Givenchy, Miu Miu and Tom Ford; booked top-tier ad campaigns for Balmain, Marc Jacobs and Topshop; and covered an impressive array of titles, including international editions of Elle, Harper’s Bazaar and W. Now, she’s achieved what can probably be considered the ultimate modeling milestone: her first Vogue cover.
The 19-year-old graces the May 2016 issue of Vogue Turkey, in a retro-glam shoot by Sebastian Faena, styled by Konca Aykan. On the cover, Hadid wears a white Givenchy look accented with jewels by Istanbul-based label Gilan, and her curly pompadour is a nod to the ’80s beauty looks that were big on recent runways. It’s another big coup for the Hadid family — 21-year-old Gigi has covered an impressive 12 editions of Vogue thus far in her career — and we’re looking forward to seeing the younger sister follow in her footsteps. But which sibling will cover the all-important U.S. edition first? The race is on.
