Come October 28 and we’ll get to witness one of the most awaited and one of the best action movies to come out of Indian cinema. Well that’s what the trailer promises. The film is directed by Ajay Devgn himself and he is even the producer of it. Just a few days ago we told you how Shivaay is a sure shot success for Ajay Devgn as he is backing the film and as a producer his track record is quite successful. Even his directorial debut U Me and Hum may not have done that well commercially but it was technically sound and a heart wrenching tale of a married couple. It showcased how a husband copes up with his wife’s Alzheimer’s. So we know Ajay Devgn is pretty skilled when it comes to movie direction and he has mentioned it several times that Shivaay is not just about action but is an emotional tale at heart. We all know how skillfully he handles emotional scenes, as was the case in U ME aur Hum. And as far as his action scenes are concerned take a look at the trailer and you’ll know what I am talking about. Why wait for the trailer let’s take a look at three action scenes that stood out in the trailer. It was surprising to find that not many movies have been made in Bollywood where the action of the film is etched in your memory, several years after the movie releases. But looks like Shivaay is a welcome addition to the list of movies where the action sequences stand out. So, while we wait for the film to hit the big screen, let’s take a look at seven amazing action sequences from Bollywood films in last couple of years.
This Tiger Shroff starrer is remembered for its oh-so-amazing action sequences and the climax will blow your mind away. The one which will instantly give you adrenaline rush. Tiger Shroff’s acting talent may be questionable, but his action scenes are one of the best in the history of Indian cinema. Watch the videos above to know what I am talking about.
This was another movie on the lines of Baaghi. This Vidyut Jammwal starrer was promoted solely on its action sequences and Vidyut showed everyone how perfect he is when it comes to packing a punch. There was nothing great in the film as far as content was concerned but Vidyut’s action sequences ensured it had a smooth run at the box office. So much so that, Commando 2 is being shot and will be up for release early next year.
Ek Tha Tiger
This Salman Khan starrer espionage thriller had one of the best action sequence of the year. Be it the opening scene of the film or the scene where Salman Khan saves the day by stopping a monorail effortlessly just by using his blazer. Take that Spider-Man! Watch the scene above.
Upon its release this film was touted as John Abraham’s first outing as an action star. The bike lifting scene became the talking point thanks to its trailers. But what was more surprising was the presence of an antagonist who was on par if not better than John Abraham on the big screen. The climax fight scene where both the actors fight shirtless is best described as the clash of the titans. You have to see it to believe it.
Singham is one of the most loved Rohit Shetty films and the action scenes are way over the top but they are enjoyable. One of the most famous action scene from the film which went viral on the web is this. Ajay was back as the action star and how!
Ghajini was the first time Aamir Khan was seen in an out and out action avatar and he nailed it. His physique to his body language to his well choreographed actions sequences everything was perfect. This much stylized version of Amitabh Bachchan starrer 1978’s Don had few of the most amazing action scenes I have seen in Indian cinema. Be it the opening sequence or the one where he escapes from the police. This film had it all, cool car chases to well choreographed hand to hand combats.
