Australia led Sri Lanka by 80 runs on the second day of the first Test against Sri Lanka on Wednesday. On the other hand, Sri Lanka lost their first wicket early in the second innings before play was called off for the day due to rain. Earlier, Adam Voges (47) top-scored for the Aussies as they notched up 203 in reply to Sri Lanka’s first innings total of 117. Nathan Lyon played crucial role at the end as he scored 17.
In the second innings, Sri Lanka lost Kusal Perera to be 6/1 before rain halted play and forced an early Tea.
