Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal today alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was so angry with AAP (Aam Aadmi Party), of which he is the convener, that he could even have him (Kejriwal) murdered.
In an open appeal to his party colleagues, ministers and legislators, Kejriwal said AAP was passing through “a critical time” and the situation was sure to get worse.
Accusing the PM of acting in anger and trying to crush AAP, Kejriwal said: “They can have us killed. They can even have me killed.”
Kejriwal’s nine-minute statement follows a spate of arrests of AAP legislators in Delhi and what he said were efforts to disqualify 21 other legislators on the issue of holding office of profit. The Delhi CM sarcastically asked the PM to get his Transport Minister Satyendar Jain arrested after a senior officer complained against him. A Special Commissioner of the Delhi Transport Department, IS Mishra, had yesterday sent a complaint to Lt Governor Najeeb Jung, alleging misbehaviour by Jain.
