Toronto police have announced that a man wanted in connection with the Toronto parking lot shooting death of Maninder Singh Sandhu, has been arrested in Surrey, B.C.

Pardeep Chouhan, 34, was arrested by R.C.M.P. on Friday.

Sandhu was shot last Friday in the parking lot where he kept his truck on Humber College Boulevard at Finch Ave. West, according to police. He was discovered the next day by his family and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Later police said he died of multiple gunshot wounds to his torso.

Chouhan worked with Sandhu, 31, at BTI Cartage, a Toronto trucking company. He will be brought back to the city by Toronto police.

The homicide marked Toronto’s 53rd this year.
