We recently reported that Apple had quietly bumped the in-built storage capacities of its iPad tablets. The company
also removed the 16GB storage variants from its official website, while adding a new 256GB variant. Now, the
Cupertino-based tech company has revealed the new India prices of the iPad models.
As per the listing on the website, the 12.9-inch iPad Pro Wi-Fi version costs Rs 65,900, Rs 73,900 and Rs 81,900 for
32GB, 128GB and 256GB storage variants respectively. On the other hand, the Wi-Fi + Cellular version of the 12.9-
inch iPad Pro is priced at Rs 85,900 and Rs 93,900 for 128GB and 256GB variants respectively. This makes the latter
the costliest iPad variant currently available in India.
Similarly, the 9.7-inch iPad Pro Wi-Fi costs Rs 49,900 (32GB), Rs 57,900 (128GB) and Rs 65,900 (256GB). The Wi-Fi +
Cellular version costs Rs 61,900 (32GB), Rs 69,900 (128GB) and Rs 77,900 (256GB).
The iPad Air 2, which came in October 2014, costs Rs 31,900 (32GB) and Rs 39,900 (128GB) for the Wi-Fi only
version. Similarly, the Wi-Fi + Cellular models cost Rs 41,900 (32GB) and Rs 49,900 (128GB). The pricing for the iPad
Mini 4 is exactly the same as that of the iPad Air 2.
The iPad Mini 2 Wi-Fi only 32GB version costs Rs 21,900, while the Wi-Fi + Cellular 32GB version bears a price tag
Rs 31,900. All are available in Silver and Space Grey variants, while the iPad Mini 4, iPad Air 2, 9.7-inch iPad Pro and
12.9-inch iPad Pro additionally come in Gold colour. The 9.7-inch iPad Pro also comes in Rose Gold colour variant.
It is worth noting that while the 32GB and 128GB versions of the iPad models have been already available in India
for quite some time, the 256GB is a new addition.
Apple’s iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus will hit the shelves in India starting October 7, with price starting at Rs
60,000. Also, Apple Watch Series 2 will be made available on the same day with base model’s price starting at Rs
32,900. Apple AirPods will arrive alongside the new handsets as well, with price starting at Rs 15,400.
