Bollywood star Akshay Kumar, who has played a soldier and police officer often on screen, has lauded a Mumbai police constable for saving a woman’s life with his swift reaction.

Akshay posted a 21-second clip on his Twitter account. The clip shows a woman running to catch a train and she suddenly slips in this pursuit, but the constable comes to her rescue immediately.

The actor captioned the video: “Had my heart in my mouth literally! Salute to constable Pawan Tayde of Lonavala police station for his presence of mind and swift action.”

The 49-year-old has been verbal about appreciating good deeds of public servants.
Aparna Sen has a blast with ladies of ‘Sonata’

Filmmaker Aparna Sen is “having a blast” working on her English language film “Sonata” with actors like Shabana Azmi, Lillete Dubey and Sohag Sen.

Aparna Sen, who rarely shares her views on Twitter, took to the medium to share an image in which the three talented actors are seen with her in one frame. While Aparna Sen herself is seated between Shabana and Lillete, Sohag Sen leans on her from behind.

“Lillete, Shabana, Sohag Sen (our acting coach) and I on the set of ‘Sonata’. We’re having a blast,” Sen captioned the colourful image.

“Sonata” is based on Mahesh Eklunchwar’s play of the same name. Aparna Sen is not just directing the project, she will also be seen acting in it.
Diljit Dosanjh’s ‘Do you know’ garners over 1 mn views

Singer Diljit Dosanjh, whose new single “Do You Know” was released on September 23, has already garnered more than 1 million views. “I am extremely happy with the response. Fans across the world are making their own video version of the song which is thrilling and rewarding for any artist,” Diljit said in a statement.

“Do You Know” is a romantic song that Diljit has come up with after “Ek kudi” in “Udta Punjab”.

“Do You Know”, independently produced by Diljit’s new label, is shot in Los Angeles. Its video is directed by Mark Stauback, who had earlier directed the Travie McCoy’s chartbuster song “Billionaire”, featuring guest vocals from Bruno Mars.
