Akira starring Sonakshi Sinha has apparently failed to impress the audience. The box office numbers on
Friday and Saturday clearly reflect the film’s poor performance. Despite any other major Hindi movie releasing
along with Akira this weekend, it failed to cash in on the opportunity. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh wrote,”#Akira
shows minimal growth on Sat… Sun is crucial… Fri 5.15 cr, Sat 5.30 cr. Total: ₹ 10.45 cr. India biz.”
So far, the movie has collected around Rs 10.45 crore. The movie is expected to earn Rs 2-3 crore on
Monday considering its poor performance at the box office during the weekend.

“I will act only if I get enough money, otherwise, I don’t have any intention to act in movies. I will do acting
only if my character is good or someone gives me an obscene amount of money that solves my other
problems,” Anurag said in an interview.
“I don’t want to make a career as an actor. I don’t mind acting, but my focus is on making films. To take up
more offers, I should have time and when I have time, the story and the role have to be good,” he added.
Critic Shubhra Gupta wrote in her review,” Akira (Sonakshi Sinha), no relation to Kurosawa,
makes the journey from a colourful Rajasthan ‘chota shehar’ to ‘mahanagari’ Mumbai, and runs slam-bang
into a convoluted plot involving a murder and missing cash and a bunch of corrupt cops, headed by the
