Filmmaker Abhishek Kapoor, who introduced actor Sushant Singh Rajput in Bollywood with the film Kai Po Che, is very happy with the kind of films he is doing.
He is thoroughly impressed with his acting skills after watching his recently-released film based on life of cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Rajput, who plays the protagonist in the film, is humbled by Kapoor’s gesture and is happy that his work has been appreciated by someone who gave him a break in Bollywood.
“I regard this as one of the biggest compliments. Abhishek has taught me a lot and had believed in me by giving me a film like Kai Po Che. It feels wonderful that he has liked my work so much. I can’t thank him enough,” says Rajput.
The actor’s spokesperson adds, “Sushant considers Abhishek as one of his biggest mentors as he gave him one of the most memorable characters in Kai Po Che! Abhishek is immensely proud of Sushant. He feels really encouraged when the praise comes from a filmmaker like him. The compliment from his first director is very special for him.”
