Alleging that Punjab Congress president Capt Amarinder Singh, in an interview to a news channel, had remarked that four Punjabi Canadian cabinet ministers had scuttled his campaign in Canada on the direction of Sikh hardliners, the AAP targeted the former CMhere today.AAP leaders Sukhpal Singh Khaira, Kanwar Sandhu, Himmat Singh Shergill and Aman Arora said Amarinder should either produce evidence or tender an apology to the Punjabi NRIs living in North America. Sandhu said, “Amarinder’s remarks against the Punjabi Canadian ministers were not only malicious but completely baseless, only to save his own skin.”Capt hit back at the duo, saying while the “whole of Punjabi Indian diaspora in Canada knows it too well, only our neo-converts to AAP back home are trying to take a contrary view for reasons best known to them”.
