The police in the neighbouring Sadulshehar Sunday have booked nine persons after Chanchal, a resident of Namdev Nagar on the Abohar-Fazilka road, approached a local court, alleging that they had duped her in liquor business. Notably, many residents of Abohar and Fazilka are running liquor business in the neighbouring Sriganganagar and Hanumangarh districts of Rajasthan.SHO Bhupinder Soni, who has been asked to investigate, said Chanchal was last year allotted a liquor shop in Srikaranpur border segment. The licence was renewed this year too but she came to know recently that the same had been sold for Rs 10 lakh against “fake” documents.
