Two 16-year-old and four 15-year-old boys are facing a combined total of 62 charges in connection to several recent thefts.\ Regina police say they saw the six teenagers in what they thought was a stolen truck on Wednesday.

The truck had a number of bicycles in the back, and when the teens left the vehicle, they rode away on the bikes toward Second Avenue North, according to police.

Officers checked the licence plate and confirmed the truck was stolen in Moose Jaw on April 2.

Police located the teens and arrested them without incident.

Several stolen items, including an iPad, a laptop and a speaker system, were seized, police said. The items were stolen from various vehicles, officers later confirmed. One of the 16-year-olds is facing 27 charges while the other is charged with one offence.

One 15-year-old is facing 17 charges, another is facing 10 charges and a third is charged with six offences. The fourth 15-year-old is facing one charge. Police believe the six teens were involved in several thefts and a break and enter between March 30 and April 6. Most of the stolen items were left unlocked or unsecured, police said.

All six teenagers made their first court appearance on Friday.
