A 51-year-old woman is dead after she was thrown from a pickup truck that rolled near Bloodvein in east-central Manitoba on Sunday. The woman, who was driving the truck, was pronounced dead at the scene, and a 50-year-old man was rushed to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
Another passenger, a 48-year-old man, did not suffer any injuries.
All three were from Bloodvein, about 215 kilometres north of Winnipeg, on the east side of Lake Winnipeg.
RCMP said they received a call about the crash, five kilometres south of the Bloodvein River bridge, at 8:15 a.m., but the rollover had happened several hours earlier.
Alcohol is believed to be a contributing factor, RCMP said.
