Five men have been arrested after the death of a man outside a 21st birthday party in Glasgow. Gary Weir, 24, died from stab wounds following a large-scale disturbance outside Shettleston Juniors football ground and social club in the early hours of Sunday, August 7.

Three other men were seriously injured and required hospital treatment after the incident in the east end of the city.

Police say they have now arrested five men – a 19-year-old, three men aged 20 and a 21-year-old – in connection with Mr Weir’s death
