A 35-year-old man is in custody following a robbery at a Harbour Grace gas station on Sunday. Harbour Grace RCMP say they received notice of the panic alarm being activated at the Ultramar station on Harvey Street around 1:55 p.m.

An armed man wearing a disguise entered the store alone and took an undisclosed amount of cash.

He managed to get away, but RCMP officers later arrested a man and charged him with armed robbery, disguise with intent and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

He is scheduled to be in Harbour Grace court Monday morning.

Despite the arrest, police are still looking for witnesses in the Longs Hill, Stevensons Hill and Water Street areas of the town.
