A 32-year-old woman was rushed to hospital in critical condition after being struck by a vehicle on Côte-Vertu Blvd. Tuesday night. The woman was crossing the street near Cavendish Blvd. at 9:40 p.m. when she was struck by a vehicle travelling west on Côte-Vertu.
Andrée-Anne Picard, spokesperson for Montreal police, said it appeared that the woman was not crossing at a crosswalk. In addition, she said that heavy rains Tuesday night may have been a factor in the accident.
As of Wednesday morning, the woman’s condition had stabilized and doctors no longer fear for her life.
