Three people face a total of 54 charges after they were found with a quantity of narcotics and a loaded firearm early Friday morning, police say. In a news release issued Saturday morning, Toronto police say they received a call at around 3:50 a.m. on Friday for a theft of vehicle in progress near Walmer Rd. and Bernard Ave.

Upon arrival, police found three people inside the vehicle but concluded the vehicle was not stolen.

However, police did discover that the vehicle was carrying a quantity of narcotics and a loaded Jimenez Arms 9 mm firearm.

The firearm and narcotics were seized by police.

Three people, 35-year-old Kevin Levar Prince from Toronto, 49-year-old Brenda Muscat from Toronto, and 20-year-old Benjamin Todd from Edmonton were arrested and charged with a total of 54 counts of mostly weapon-related charges.

Levar is facing 20 weapon and drug-related charges, including possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana, and possession for the purposes of trafficking cocaine.

Muscat is facing 16 charges and Todd is facing 13 charges, most of them weapon-related.

All three are expected to appear in court Saturday morning.
