Three drug addicts escaped from a government rehabilitation centre, hijacked a mini bus and forced the driver to take the opposite direction for 10 kilometres before jumping off the vehicle.The 15-minute drama unfolded in Patiala on Monday morning. One of the three inmates — Kulwinder Singh from Nabha, Dhanuri resident Gurmeet Singh and Hardeep Singh of Ghanaur — has been arrested.The bus was travelling from Punjabi University to Partap Nagar. Bus driver Santokh Singh said when bus reached Bandugar area, the three barged into the vehicle. While one of them placed a knife on his neck, the other two wielded wooden sticks. “They forced me to criss-cross the city roads in speed, and later asked me to take the Nabha route.
