The police in the Bhirani segment of Hanumangarh today nabbed two persons who were allegedly impersonating astransport officials and collecting entry fee from vehicle owners. They were identified as Wazir Khan and Naseeb Khan.Raj Kumar of Bhatiyani village told the police that he loaded his truck with wheat at Rania near Sirsa as the same was to be delivered in Jaipur. Two car-borne persons allegedly intercepted him near the roadside bus stop in Chidiyagandhi village and demanded Rs 1,000 as “entry fee” claiming that they were transport officials. He reportedly paid Rs 500 and left, but the miscreants chased it in a car.The speeding truck overturned after some distance. As villagers rushed in to rescue him, he told them about the harassment by the “officials”. Both were questioned, but they could not produce any identity card.
