Calgary police have charged two more men with second-degree murder in relation to the death of Christian Jovanovic at the Banff Trail Motel in September 2015. Jovanovic, 41, was found dead around noon on Sept. 14, 2015, and police initially arrested and charged 35-year-old Martin Allan Rangers with second-degree murder.
Investigators said at the time that they were still searching for a stolen vehicle, a grey two-door 2015 Fiat 500 with Enterprise Rent-a-Car stickers, that they believed was connected with the case.
Then on Friday, police announced that two more Calgary men — 33-year-old Lee Sheldon Kelner and 43-year-old Jason Edward Harwood — had also been charged with second-degree murder.
Jovanovic’s death marked Calgary’s 20th homicide of 2015.
