An 18-year-old woman was taken to hospital after being stabbed in the neck with a knife last night, according to Halifax Regional Police.

She was taken to the QE II Health Sciences Centre with non-life threatening injuries.

Police said the woman and a neighbour got into a verbal argument around 9 p.m. in the 0-100 block of Lahey Road in Dartmouth.

The argument escalated and a woman allegedly pulled out a knife and stabbed the 18-year-old.

A 37-year-old woman is charged with various weapons offences and is due in court in Dartmouth today.
