A 15-year-old boy has been charged in connection with an alleged robbery early Saturday, police said. Police said the teen approached a 16-year-old and a 17-year-old sitting on a bench in the Fenside Drive and York Mills Road area, “pepper-sprayed them, then pointed a firearm at them” at around 2:30 a.m.
The suspect took the 17-year-old’s wallet, cellphone, necklace and cash, police said.
The teen was charged with robbery with a firearm, robbery with an offensive weapon, “administering noxious thing with intent,” and possession of a prohibited weapon.
The teen, who cannot be named under provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act, was scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall on Saturday morning.
