A 46-year-old man has died after a serious car and motorbike crash on Mount Nathan Road at Nerang on Saturday afternoon. About 12.45pm both police and ambulance units were called to attend the scene at the intersection of Mount Nathan Road and Arunta Drive.
An ambulance spokesman said paramedics tried to revive a Waterford man, who was the rider of the motorbike, after he suffered a traumatic cardiac arrest but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The severity of the crash caused Mount Nathan Road to be closed for several hours, but has it since reopened.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
